Last night was back to school night. I didn’t get any pictures of Lauren on her first day of school. So, I took a couple last night. I think she is going to have a great year. She has a really good teacher—Mrs. Magee. She also had her for first grade. We have been blessed with good teachers every year. I haven’t had one complaint about any of the teachers Lauren has had. Thank goodness!! Have a great year Lauren!! We love you!!

We went to our friend's birthday party. They bbq’d and played kick ball. The kids had fun running around and chasing each other before the game. I love the look on Lauren’s face. Priceless!!
I have been awful…I have not posted for a while. Lauren, mom & I went down to So. California in July. Lauren & I stayed at my birth mom, Sarah’s, house. We only get to see her twice a year, so it was nice to stay a week with her. We swam everyday and napped. My favorite. Lauren got to see her cousin Savanna & her cousin Aubrie (pictured). We will go down again @ Christmas time. Then Mikey will get to go also. He hasn’t been down in two years.
I also got to see two friends I haven’t seen in a while. Angie I haven’t seen in I think 3 years & Ayne I haven’t seen in 13. It was so great to visit with them. We didn’t get to visit long, but it was still nice.
These are Mikey & Lauren’s morphed faces of Tiny Tim. They had stations at the end of the train tour that took your picture and it morphed it into one of three characters.
Disney is coming out with a new movie in November—“A Christmas Carol”. To promote the movie they are doing a train tour around the united states & they stopped in Sacramento this past weekend. The Volkman’s & our family went Saturday morning. Good thing we went first thing, because as we came out of the tour the line was real long and it was getting HOT! We had a great time. In the train you got to see how they did the animation, pictures of the characters, costumes, figurines, models & at the end you got to take your picture and morph it into one of the characters. It was really neat. We then went and watched a preview in Disney Digital 3D. Their 3D is amazing. I had never seen it before. It was such a great time at such a great price….FREE!!!
Well, it is the last days of school and awards were given out today. Lauren received a couple. She got the Principle’s Math Challenge T-Shirt. They had to do so many math facts in one minute each month. She also received two Physical Fitness awards. One from a school fitness test and the other is the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award. We tracked the exercise she did at home. She would have receive 100% attendance, but she was sick one day. Oh, well. Next year. You also get to see her new hair do. She got it cut in a bob. Our friend Courtney cut it for her. She is so talented. Thanks Courtney!!
