27 Days & Counting…

I thought I would update you all…we had our 26 hearing (sever parental rights) for the boys at the end of June.  We have to wait 60 days in case they appeal.  So we have 27 days to go until that 60 days is up and we can start the paper work for adoption.  It has been a long process, but by doing so, we shouldn’t have any problems later.  They are now 13mos old and are starting to take those first steps.  Little Man more so than Big Boy.  It is fun watching them grow and learn.  I will be so glad when we can finally call them Farnham.  Then we can have them sealed to us for all eternity.  Yeah!!!

I didn’t realize I hadn’t blogged in so long.  We are one step closer to getting the boys.  In February, reunification services were terminated and the boys case is now in adoptions.  We go to court in June for parental rights severed and then hopefully they will be ours by September.  Seeing as they aren’t ours yet, we can’t post any family pictures.  This is as close as we can get until then.

Blessings….

Today is another day to be thankful for the many blessings we have been given.  We went to court to find out if we would be granted DeFacto Parent.  It was a big YES!  We can now sit up with the boys lawyers and get all the papers from the court. “It mostly means that court recognizes that we have an interest in the welfare of the boys and that we are to be notified of everything.  It's a big deal that the court recognizes you and will hear what you have to say”. (as said by Andrea)  I’m just so excited.  Our next big court date is Feb 15th.  That one will be a nail biter.  But, until then, we can enjoy our holidays.  Can’t wait to do pics for Christmas :o)

4th Grader!!…

Well, we now have a 4th grader.  So excited, yet sad.  She is growing up too fast.  She is very excited, yet worried about some of her classmates she had a problem with last year.  We will see how this goes.  Good luck!!  We love you and know you will do great!

Many Blessings…

We have been very blessed this past week.  We are now home owners.  Yeah!!  The house we wanted is ours.  We got short sale approval from the bank and two weeks later were able to get the keys.  Mikey is so excited.  I don’t think there is a man out there who is actually happy to have a honey do list like he is.  I should paint before we move in, but I don’t know what colors I want to do.  Once we are settled I can figure out what I want.

Also, as you know we went to classes and are licensed for foster/adopt.  Well, we have finally been placed.  We wanted a boy between the ages 0-2.  Well, we got two boys (twins) ages (now) 10 days old.  So, right now we are long term fostering and we will see if we will be able to adopt them.  Lauren is a great big sister.  It is quite a lot to be going on, but we are so excited.  I am ever so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed us with so much.  I can only credit Him in all that we have and are able to achieve.

Our Graduate…

Mike had his graduation ceremony Friday, May 7th.  We are so proud of him.  It was a long 9 months of him gone Monday-Thursday nights.  He had perfect attendance and Dean’s List.  Congratulations!!!  We love you!!
